Upon his arrival to St. Louis in 2007, Robert Heideman began his career in real estate financing, serving as the head of a loan department at a national real estate investment company for two years. Managing a $36 million portfolio of seller-financed properties, taught him valuable lessons about creating loans and avoiding potential pitfalls.
Before moving to St. Louis, Robert spent ten years in Chicago where he owned and operated several companies that capitalized on the real estate market. He bought and sold hundreds of residential and commercial properties, purchased non-performing mortgages, owned and operated a full-service brokerage firm, and owned and operated a construction company. He converted apartments into condos, built new homes, and redeveloped vacant land into a large residential condo and townhome community.
Robert Heideman has almost 25 years of experience in the real estate and lending industries, and he partners with Delmar Mortgage to provide clients with unique solutions to their situations. His specialized group of Mortgage Advisors, The Heideman Group, was created in 2013 to analyze clients’ financial and personal goals and develop a perfect loan strategy that helps homeowners increase their net worth while decreasing their overall interest expense.
In addition to his commitment to his clients, Robert is passionate about making charitable donations every time he closes a loan. He initiated the Charitable Promises program that empowers clients to choose a charity that will benefit from their home mortgage transaction. As of now, Robert has donated over $46,000 to over 400 hundred local, national, and international non-profit organizations.
Robert established the Heroes Program in late 2015 to assist Military Personnel, First Responders, and Healthcare Workers with a more affordable home loan transaction. Clients working with his team receive a financial benefit, and to date, Robert has paid over $180,000 of closing costs to support these Heroes who support our communities.
Robert’s wife, Abby, who is a St. Louis native, joined The Heideman Group in 2019. Together, they have three children, Tyler, Charley, and Austin, who keep them busy with sporting events and school activities. Robert has been deeply involved in the local community and believes in giving back with time, money, and knowledge, which has shaped him into the person he is today.
